Scale moving already!

Well only third day into resuming "proper" lapband eating plan lifestyle and the scale has gone down 1 lb. so I am psyched!
The band DOES work when you follow the rules your surgeon gives you. Duh!
I am eating just over 800 calories a day - slightly over - which is what my surgeon says is optimal, if I am getting in major protein cals in that total (which I am).
I am sticking to having a protein shake for breakfast, and some whole grains (soft) such as oatmeal or cream of wheat. Lunch will be Nutrisystem lunch meal, and a string cheese (lowfat). Dinner will be fish (steamed or broiled) and some pureed veggies.
As I read recently, "the most effective weight loss tool is a pen" meaning writing down every morsel we eat! I am finding the accountability of writing down my meals is freeing in a way - no decisions to make!
Now I have to start getting on the elliptical and tomorrow I am going to do some weight training added in.
