It's gonna be a great day

New job. I'm ahead of schedule, now if traffic is smooth. This is the first time in decades that a new job has actually had someone to train me, no mess to decifer or clean up. Wow, I'm excited but anticipate it to be so easy I won't know what to do with myself.

I've got my healthy lunch packed and some snacks if I need them. Here we go, out to feed the critters and one last check and then I'm off to join the normal ratrace.

This may not seem to be a big deal to any readers, but I have been sending out resumes at 5-20 copies per week (for jobs that I am qualified for) and even occasionally interviewing (but never being offered the job) for almost TWO YEARS! I'm good at what I do and finally, someone was smart enough to see that! Later

Congratulations, NEDERLUNG! It is a very tough employment market out there (as you know!). My husband has been unemployed for 15 months now. Even though he's sent out apps and followed up on jobs, he hasn't had so much as an interview. Very frustrating.

At any rate, you've got a lot to look forward to with a new job, a new week, a new month, etc! Sounds like you've got your plan in place and a great attitude to go along with it! --Julie
