I know I said I wouldn't be posting any blog entries til I had something positive to say. Well here I am again, quite a bit sooner than I expected! emoticon

Today I may be sick, I may be tired BUT I got out of the house today for a little bit. Sat in the sun for a little while (while it was still out this morning). And CHALLENGED my father to a fitness minutes challenge.

My father went on a diet (one I don't agree with the approach) and it worked really well for him. I've never seen my dad look so healthy, I no longer worry NEARLY as much as I used to about possible heart-attacks or his sleep apnea. He goes to the gym at least 5 times a week, and is doing his best to eat healthy (Mom is NOT on same eating plan, makes it a lot harder). He's over 60 and just an inspiration. If he can do it at his age I sure as heck can do it at mine.

SO.......the challenge.
CHALLENGE 1: Who can get to 500 fitness minutes in 1 month the fastest.
CHALLENGE 2: Who can get the most fitness minutes total in 1 month.

The Prize:
Prize 1: Loser buys winner's round of a 3-par golf game.
Prize 2: Loser buys winner's beverage of choice after golf.

Wish me luck people. I told him I was going to "school his old tush" but reality is he is in much better shape so I'm gonna need to stay motivated!
