So April is just about over, time to reflect on my goals for the month:
*8oz of water 8 times a day - Did pretty well there, only missed two days!
*2-3 Fruits and Veggies a day - Didn't do so well there, pretty much failed.
*Tae Bo 3 Days a week - Failure here too.
*Flirty Girl Fitness 2 days a week - Technically failed here too BUT I did switch it out with ZUMBA instead, Still didn't complete it 2 days a week though.
*Measure once a week - I decided that this was counter productive to my goals. And will be changing that to once a month from now on.
*Kick my Dad's booty - MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm okay with my failures this month, I still did a whole heck of a lot better than I expected for myself. I learned a lot about what works and what doesn't work for me this past month. I'm still obviously a work in progress but I think I've learned what are realistic goals and which aren't at this point in my health. I believe when I post May's goals tomorrow they will reflect that.
Today I'm running around like a chicken with it's head cut off
I still have so much to do before I leave for Mayo and not enough time to do it in. My friends are throwing me an early birthday party tonight 80's themed! (My birthday is really May 21st but we don't know how long I'll be gone) A select few of us are doing dinner first at a restaurant of my choice, followed by everyone drinking and dancing, ending the evening with a friends band playing a free show! Haven't quite figured out where to do dinner yet. We have quite a few choices to chose from, part of me wants to try this vegan place, another wants to go to the Mo Club for a burger, and another wants IHOP (I never go to IHOP no idea where this craving came from). The Mo Club is the only one WITHOUT healthy options. My calories can for sure handle eating there BUT I don't want to feel "weighed down" all night from the grease but it's SOOOOOO YUMMY!!!! (inner struggle ensues)
......5 minutes later......
I'll probably end up choosing IHOP, that has the most choices for everyone not just me. As for the rest of the night, I plan to pace myself with drinks. The alcohol reeks havoc on my tummy so I'll be mostly sipping water and soda. And dancing tonight is going to take care of my workout for the day!
