Not sure what is up... other than I have eaten really oddly the last few days and was wooed by my husband into going out to dinner for Italian last night. Now my tummy is all messed up. Not food poisoning or anything, just all messed up.

My tummy is loud and grumbly and somehow my weight jumped 4 pounds in 24 hours - even though I didn't eat a total of 4 pounds yesterday (I will never understand those little numbers on the scale).

After months and months of feeling healthier every day, I guess I am just a little whiny about feeling a little off. It is a good comparison to remind me how much better I feel when I focus on a healthy diet. I am certain a day or two of simple grains and veg will be all I need to get back on top of the Spark-venture!

Hum, Italian is a lot of carbs, and most restaurant food has too much salt...a combo your tummy probably didn't like!

I love to eat out, but I always plan what I am going to eat at each restaurant. (aren't online menus great?)... If I go spur of the moment I am inviting disaster for sure.

Yeah, the wooing is tough stuff. What I have done is to come up with better restaurants to counter-offer with. It's a compromise. If they want my company for dinner, how about we go here?

When I DO go eat Italian, they usually offer an Italian soup of some kind and most are pretty healthy - like bean soup, minestrone or another tomato-based soup. You can do that to start off with, followed by a salad and you're off to a pretty healthy start.

Definitely, after you've been eating really healthy for awhile, when you have something your system is no longer used to, it reacts! Been there too! You'll be fine soon.

AND whine away ... at a minimum, it is keeping you aware which could plant a good seed for a future reminder!

I can relate to the wooing, hard to resist. I try to keep the wooing down to a minimum for the same reason, unhappy tummy rumblings. Now I realize he just wants my company so I try to make wiser smaller choices;^)

After giving up alcohol for Lent I was surprised to find that it didn't taste as good as I remember it! A little reminder about how 'heavy' unhealthy food makes us feel isn't all bad.

Good luck with the tummy rumblings.
