New surgeon - new recommendations!

I finally decided to retain the services of another surgeon's office for my lap band fills/follow up care. The time commitment and high monetary cost to get into Manhattan every four to six weeks was getting out of hand. Plus my boss was getting less than supportive at my missing almost 3 hours of work on the day I had to go to the city. Luckily, given my surgeon's reputation - I was able to transfer to a top rated doc in Long Island for lap band -- even though this new surgeon does not normally accept patients from other surgeons. My new doctor clearly has heard of, and respected, my original surgeon and he gave the green light for the transfer.
Yesterday was my initial visit. I was impressed -- and a new set of eyes on my situation (frequently getting stuck when swallowing foods, not being able to eat anything before lunch, no weight loss for six months) has yielded a new plan of action.
First, even though I have only 3.6 cc's in my band, they determined I was too tight. So, they took out (gasp!) .5 cc . I am to concentrate on three small meals totalling 1000 per day - eating around 80 grams of protein per day.
I also MUST log my food for the next 4 weeks and bring printout to office.
I have to say it is nice not having to struggle and hear gurgling with every bite!
