What a difference a day makes...

I am so psyched!! and excited!! - this was the first weekend in months that I did not struggle at every meal, or vomit up my food, or get "stuck" in my lap band. Meals were enjoyable for a change. We even ate out on Saturday night (I chose a moist piece of salmon without any fats/oils added) and I had no issues. I have NOT been hungry at all between meals. In fact, last night I was not hungry for dinner so I opted to make a homemade pumpkin pie flavor protein shake. Yumm.
The decision to loosen my lap band by .5 cc's was so much the right one! It is eye opening, now that I am tracking my food again, how many calories are in some of the staples I was relying on when my band was so tight (brie cheese, soups, avocados). Yikes! Now I know to weigh and measure and eat small portions of those slider foods and/or avoid them altogether.
I see my scale has already started to move downwards! I weigh in 1x a week, and usually, but I wanted to get a "baseline" from my new doctor's office visit -- so I weighed in at home last Friday morning. Well, today I was 3 lbs. down since eating my new regimen (high protein, 3 meals daily, 1000 calories).
I am jump started and on my way!!
