How do you keep yourself Motivated??

Friday, August 06, 2010

So I finished Turbo Fire Sculpt 30 today and I *really* loved this workout. Probably because I got a break from cardio, but it still counted as a workout! LOL My endurance has sucked ass lately...I'm eating more whole grain carbs and it seems to help. But I'm still dragging..*sigh*

I had to force myself to workout this morning. And I'm SO glad I did..but I wish I could freeze that feeling you have right after a workout, where you're sweating, and SO proud of yourself, and you feel like a million bucks. So I'm curious....how do *you* stay motivated? When you're having a day when you're tired, and cranky, and you *know* you should workout but just the thought of it makes you tired, how do you motivate yourself??

Inquiring minds want to know....lol

My monthly fitness minute goals keep me going. I include things like yard work and house cleaning in my fitness minutes so it is double motivation for me. I also have 2 dogs who really love to run and never complain so when I feel like not heading out, I look at them and they change my mind.

I don't. I'm not motivated. So far I've been able to just do it, but I need something better and more lasting. If you come across good ideas let me know! :)

i have my children. my youngest is running with me and even though it is hotter than ever right now when she gets excited to go it makes me want to go. Then when she stays with me for the whole mile, well it makes me want to do it everyday...

It definitely does get hard to stay motivated, thats for sure! I try to hit up a trail around town where I know there's going to be a lot of people and go for a walk/jog. Just being around fit people is motivating and keeps me going! Good luck with your goals!

I go for a short casual walk. It's not cardio. It doesn't get your heart pumping. But it's still exercise and it gives you time to reflect on your day.
