Day 06- Earliest thing you can remember.

Thursday, September 02, 2010

I'm skipping 5. I'll come back to it.

Memories are a funny thing. My early memories are more like sensory clips than actual memories.

I remember the curtains blowing in my nursery... I was maybe 2? I remember craning to see out the window.

I remember the way my dad's coat used to smell in the winter when he came home from work in the evening. The way the cold air would sting your nose. I remember the feeling/smell of that cold air, cologne, and my dad’s wool coat.

The first real "memory" I have is building snowmen. My parents and I used to build snowmen in the winter. When I got older we would build snow dinosaurs.

That sounds wonderful! I remember the smell of my dad after going out to chop wood for the fire. Something i'll never forget. Now I'm off to day dream about my memories :)

One of my earliest memories is walking along the beach with my mother, eating an icecream. emoticon emoticon
