Although it’s in its 10th season I have honestly never watched an entire season of Biggest Loser. However, I do find the few episodes I am able to catch very inspiring. It has some great ideas for exercises and meal ideas. The only thing I don’t like is that it gives people this idea that if they just get on the show that all their issues with food will be solved and the weight will just fall off. Losing the weight is a HUGE struggle and I think that the show doesn’t focus enough on how hard it is, and how to keep people motivated.
I think the biggest thing for me on staying on the path to my goal is to stay motivated. I can get a great pep talk, talk myself into all the things I want to do, and then someone shows me some fries and BAM I have fallen off the wagon again. To help keep me motivated I have posted on my wall the class schedules of the two gyms near my house, and numerous pictures I have clipped out of magazines. Some are of pretty things that I would love to wear once I have lost some weight, such as cute dresses and tops and some are heels. I have been told are so much more comfortable once I have lost some weight. Every time I am in my room (which isn’t every night because I often spend the night at my bf’s) I pass that little collage and it makes me think about working out. I really don’t mind working out, but I do wish that I could afford just a few hours with a personal trainer to get some ideas and to see how hard I can work. I feel like I need someone to REALLY push me to my extremes, someone that I can scream and yell at, and they will still push me. I really enjoy weight lifting, but I would like someone there to teach me more ways to do things and to maximize my efforts. This is something I am asking my parents to give me for Christmas.
I had started the C25K program (www.c25k.com), it’s a really great program and when I last ran, W5D3, I was up to 20 minutes straight jogging. I was so proud of myself considering I couldn’t even run for 30 seconds a few weeks ago. But once I got sick I stopped the program and now I think I need to go back a few weeks and continue the program. Which I shall be starting again by next week.
I have seen numerous people expose themselves on their blogs and I think that its important for progress reports and for motivation. This is why I am going to post pictures of me at 275 lbs, which is only 5 lbs heavier than I am right now. At Christmas I will do new ones to compare.
Prepare yourself, here they are!!! lol
Hope you all have a sparky day!!!
