The Body Type Diet

I bought the book, The Body Type Diet. My mom has been eating as a result of her body type and is dropping weight very rapidly! She approached me about trying it because I have been working my butt off and it isn't going anywhere. In fact, I have lost nearly nothing in 6 months! I tracked my calories and still nothing! Well, I bought the book out of desperation and I am a little shocked at how well my body type describes me. I am an A (adrenal) Type. I am built like a brick, strong and solid. My body type is naturally resistant to losing weight (which explains the lack of movement on the scale). My cholesterol is also slightly high and the Dr. only gave me 6 months to get it below the cut off. Apparently, the fact that I really don't indulge in sweets a lot is normal for my body type. I thought that I was just strong when it comes to sweets, turns out my weakness is more along the lines of fat, salt and cheese....YEP! I LOVE my melted ham and cheese bagel at breakfast! Well, long story short, as a result of my body type I MUST cut out red meat, animal fat and salt! It has been two days without adding salt to my food and eating primarily a vegetarian diet. Now, I was raised on a ranch and the idea of being a vegetarian scares me to death! I miss it already! I want butter and cheese and a T-Bone! I am eating plenty but O MAN I am hungry! The book says that if I eat for my type then I will loose 4% of my body weight the first week and 2% every week after! I guess I can suffer until my desire goes away! On Monday I will know if my week as a semi-vegetarian was worth it!
