Tampa has great "Sparks"

I had the opportunity to meet some of the SparkPeople-Tampa members last week at Panera and I had a great time! They were all so nice, and I felt very inspired afterwards. They even inspired me to use this blog (This is the first blog entry I've ever written- anywhere).
They all had different goals and reasons for being a part of SparkPeople. It was great to see people that were at various stages in their "fitness journey." Being as how I just joined Spark People in January and am still new here, it was nice to hear (in person) what worked for them, what they struggled with and how they got through it, and what keeps them going. They were truly a nice group of people!
This site is loaded with information and resources, and I learned a few things talking with the Tampa Sparks. I began using the food tracker and I'm trying to be more consistent. It does a great job holding me accountable and I love the reports it generates. For instance yesterday, the 'you need to burn this many calories to reach your goal' message made me get my butt up earlier this morning to squeeze in a workout before work. And until a Spark Tampa member mentioned it, I didn't know there was an app for Spark People! I have since downloaded the SparkPeople app on my phone, and its made the food tracking much more convinient. It'll be easier to be more consistent now, since I can enter foods I eat from anywhere. There is still so much more I have to learn about this site.
One thing that has already helped me, is the great support you get from the people on here. Everyone has been so helpful so far and I appreciate it so much! I'm looking foward to the next Tampa Sparks event!
