Did it for ME!

I have been having one of those periods of time where I just can't seem to get a good amount of time in to do something that is good for me and feels good... you know what I'm talking about - personal therapy! Today I had an early meeting, after a late night return home, and when I got back to the (home) office I was a cranky on the verge of tears mess.

So, I decided to do something that I figured should help out - I went for a walk. 52 minutes in the sunshine. Wonderful. I felt a bit better; less stressed, although I was still tired. Subsequently, I took a nap. Also a very good idea. It helped too.

When I got up, I had a bit to eat and got some work done. That is why I get to keep my job and all, because I do the work. I put in a couple of hours and met a couple of goals.

Well, I still wasn't feeling all that great. There are some gardening tasks that I have been putting off. Not because I dislike them; only because it is a SELFISH activity. My yard and garden work is my THANG!! Finally, I gave me what I needed!!!

I went outside and I spent 2 hours messing with the plants, digging in the dirt, sucking up the last rays of sunshine. And it was the best thing I have done for myself all day long! I'm feeling emoticon

Sometimes a woman has to do, what a woman has to do!!

    Good for you! I think sometimes we get so wrapped up in the "have to do's" that we don't make time for the "get to do's"
