Not going to meet my goal

Thursday, April 28, 2011

I set a goal to lose a certain amount of weight by the time my son graduates UTI. His graduation got moved up 2 weeks and I am no where near my goal.

It's ok. I am still doing good and I am going to do great in the month of May.

I joined the Spring into Shape Bootcamp and joined a couple of challenge groups. I will be working my butt off!! LITERALLY emoticon

Mom said this morning she can see a big difference, I may not be losing pounds but I am definitely losing inches! emoticon

Don't let it get you down if you don't meet your goal. As long as you can say you've worked as hard as you can to reach it, and are closer to it than you were when you started, then you'll feel like continuing to get to your goal weight, even if it's not on the desired date. Just don't go crazy and get on the fad diet train. While it may get results faster, you won't be able to say you worked your best to get the way you would have if you stick with Sparkpeople. Plus, sometimes those things are really unhealthy.

I have a similar goal - under 200 by the time my son graduates from high school in June. Just as soon as I set the goal, my weight stubbornly has stayed the same for 5 weeks. UGHH! Goal is still in place, still plan to work my butt off (literally and figuratively lol).

No matter what, I will be as close to my goal as possible - and there is still time for me to meet it - just won't be as slow and steady. Talk about MOTIVATION!

Good luck in your journey. And Keep Moving Forward!
