Hottest Loser Challenge - Week 3

Intro music plays and lights come on

(Contestant walks to scale)

Hostess: Cynthia, last week your weight on "The Hottest Loser" was 228.2 pounds, which was a loss of 1 pound which you were very happy with. How do you think you’ve done this week?

Contestant: Well Allison, I think I’ve done well. I’ve journaled everyday and had three days of intentional cardio, so I feel pretty good about my week.

Hostess: Well, hop on that scale Cynthia & let’s see if your hard work has paid off....

Hostess: This week you weigh...........
(Hottest music plays, scale number fluctuates to beeping noises, music crescendos, loud poundings sound)

Hostess: ...228.0
(slow clapping is heard from group – with some hmmm’s in the background)

Hostess: That’s only a loss of .2 lbs Cynthia, what do you think happened, or are you happy with that progress?

Cynthia: Allison, to be honest, I’m not (uses arms to demonstrate quotation marks) “happy” with it, but I’ll take least it’s a loss.

Hostess: Well, do you think there’s anything you could have done differently or that you will try next week to see better numbers on the scale Cynthia?

Cynthia: I think I’ll try to rotate my calorie intake numbers more Allison. I get in a routine and tend to consume the same amount week after week...I think I’ll switch that up a bit and see what happens. I remember Jillian telling us once to try 2 days at the low end of your calorie range, 2 days at the high end of your calorie range & 2 days in the dead center of your calorie range – it’s supposed to keep the body guessing...

Hostess: Good luck...let’s hope that Jillian’s plan works for you.

Cynthia (outside of house to camera): I’m a little bummed out, but hey, a loss is a loss, right?

Cynthia: (flip cam for personal reflection in the bedroom): I know how my body is and it always does this stall tactic for a bit & then it’ll pick back up & start showing some good numbers again....I’m not going to let this get me down

(End credit music starts playing)

You are right, a loss is a loss. Would you have rather stayed the same or gained?

Hang in there. You're kicking butt. Sometimes we just have slower weeks than others.

And thanks for the tips on changing up the calories. I never knew that!!
