Now - the intent of the song is that I'm becoming less ME-centered, and more GOD-centered in my life. But, I'm finding that in the process, the LITTLE lifestyle changes I'm making are part of that process, too.

My doctor told me awhile ago that I should just plan on working on one lifestyle change each month, so that at the end of the year, I would see 12 changes take place... Well - at that time, I only worked on one in the 12 months - and it was an easy change- quit eating too close to bedtime or my acid reflux was terrible.

But - I've been thinking of LIFESTYLE CHANGES... If I'm not on a DIET, but choose to live differently, it has to be realistic. It is not realistic that I will never eat candy ever again for the rest of my life, or chocolate, or hot doughy rolls, or ice cream, or a piece of cake.

So - I'm working on LITTLE realistic changes. Tracking. Tweaking as I go. Gotta keep going forward, eyes on the Author and Finisher of my faith, and with God's help, getting skinnier in the process.

Speaking of LITTLE... when I went to the dr's office yesterday to be weighed, I was skeptical... my clothes weren't feeling any looser. So, the fact that I lost 2.2 lbs was great! However, it had been a month since the last weigh-in - and at this rate, with the amount of weight I need and want to lose, I won't get to enjoy being skinny before I die! so - I need to be a LITTLE more intentional to lose a LITTLE more per month.

    Congratulations on your positive attitude and the positive changes you are making in your lifestyle. It is showing results in the weight loss and in your outlook. I like your doctor's suggestion of working on one lifestyle change per month - establishing and maintaining those little changes will bring forth great changes over time.

    Several things stand out in your blog.
    Little by Little.......... That is how we do it.
    Looking to Jesus the author and perfecter of your faith.......... that is who you need to look to.
    Intentional..........that is how we need to be.......we need to intend on what we do.......be intentional in our exercise, and in our tracking, and in our water drinking, just as we are intentional in our time with Him.
    You can do it. And you did go down, not stay the same or go up.

    Way to go on the 2.2 lbs gone.....but I know what you mean about it will take too long to lose it! I'm still battling the brick wall I've been up against, but I'm back in the pool nearly every day, even though I have to go to the one in town that costs money! But what can we do? Just keep on keeping on....I have said from the beginning (when I really got serious about losing....I had a lap-band surgery, and it has helped, but it certainly isn't a magic bullet!! That was March of 09) where was I? Oh yeah, I've kept telling people that this is NOT a diet, because diets end. This is a lifestyle change for me, and as such, there will be times when I eat too much, or eat the "wrong" thing. I cannot say I'll never have dessert again...but I can say I won't have it today. Birthdays will come, and I will eat cake! But if I make eating healthy and exercising my way of life, I will either lose weight......or be a healthy fat person!

    Sorry about this going long, I tend to ramble sometimes.... emoticon .....hang in there, and we'll both make it to our goals, one way or another! I'm glad that we "met", and I think of you as a friend, even if we do never meet this side of heaven! But maybe one of these days.....we'll just have to wait and see what God does with us!

    Hi Roxy!! Congrats on your loss my friend!
    I think as you get better at tracking and planning your meals ahead you will find you will be losing more .It took you years to put on that weight, so it will also take a while to get rid of it!!
    So don't dispair Love it will happen!!...
    You will need to make it Happen!
