the antique bed...

Sunday, October 23, 2011

(referring to yesterday's blog entry)

I'm so thankful to God that the bed didn't break... hubby actually bounced on his side to show it's stronger than I think... but I almost freaked out!... except if it's going to break, I'd rather he be the one who did it instead of me! LOL... it did creak when I moved, but I've tried to be SO careful - no sudden moves.

I have 4 more nights... 1 done, 4 to go.

It's even harder when we're told that it was their grandmothers, and her father's before that... and it probably wasn't new even then... so - great! a 100-200 year old bed!!!! Yikes! PLEASE - give me the couch!!!!

2 meals down
Breakfast = 1 egg, 1 sausage link, 1 sm bunch of grapes
Lunch = (authentic mexican restaurant) - 1 tostado and tortilla chips
... but I just found out that tonight's a potluck...

Encouraging news about the bed, and it was nice of your hubby to test it for you.
Enjoy your pot luck, and just keep doing what you have been doing - it seems to work for you.

Bed's. We actually broke the bed frame in a pullout couch bed about 25 years ago. I was really embarrassed.
And when we were on our honeymoon we visited a family of a friend, it was the week of Thanksgiving and the parents insisted that we have their bed in the master bedroom, because we had just gotten married. They had an antique bed. We didn't break it, but I was embarrassed that they would give it up for us.
Roxie, I am waiting until after your trip to give you a call.

Good news about the bed! If the Hubby Test passed, then you should be fine! I actually make my fiance test questionable furniture for me before I sit on it sometimes LOL.

Try not to worry about it, or you may jinx yourself! :p You won't break it!

OOooOOOooOOoo a potluck? I'm glad I won't be there, b/c I know I'd be super tempted to blow my progress away haha. Have a good time!! Just keep everything within reason/proportion. Good Luck!!
