Yay & Boo

Yay me, I've been walking for the last four days in a row. Least distance was 2.45km which was still over 3000 steps. Still loving the iPod Nano that hubby got me for xmas, makes tracking things so much easier.

The boo part comes with the pretty much immediate return of shin splints and achilles issues. Not really anything more I can do about that, I have the best shoes there are and I walk on grass as much as possible. I guess I just tough out the shin splints til my body gets more used to it and be really really careful not to damage my achilles any further. I'm thinking about going and getting some pre-emptive accupuncture and see if that helps.

    I don't know if pushing through the pain is the best idea from a medical perspective. You might look for some low impact aerobic videos to do, and just a km until you are more in shape. However, being outside usually does help the depression, especially in summer with the sunshine. Keep up the good work!
