Mindful eating (starfish winter challenge blog)

Mindful eating is the habit that I most want to develop. I do almost all my eating in front of the computer or tv or while I'm reading a book. I never even really taste the food or remember eating it. I got into this bad habit after the kids moved out and I was eating alone.
I also usually eat off paper plates with plastic utensils. It was easier because standing to wash dishes was painful. Now that I'm getting better physically, I'm going to shop for a few beautiful dishes and start using those.
My starting goal (remember I'm a big believer in baby steps) is to eat one meal a day without any distractions and appreciate the food.
One last thing, if you know any websites or stores with beautiful/unusual dishes that sell just 1 or 2, please let me know.
