Someone tell water retention not to mess with me.

Thanks for all the people who commented on my previous blog entry; those comments are what has kept me sane as water retention plays havoc with my body composition goals: 30kg water:30kg fat:40kg lean mass a.k.a protein.

I've been faithfully doing my BC tests as against the scale. So come 5th march I confidently step on the body composition/weight measure. So guess what scale reads the same but body fat is down 4.00kg and lean mass goes up 1kg. I should weigh less right? nope; water! yes 5.5kgs of water rush in and take their place and then some.

I'm so mad because without all that water I'll finally be in Onederland. So the war against water retention begins; lesser salt (or is that no salt?) more greens and more exercise and unfortunately water tablets because my doc thinks my body needs some help to get rid of the excess water.

Well I'll be checking again come 5th April 2012 and that water better be gone. Let's hear it for Lean Mass!!! emoticon
