Exercise: Check. Eating: Che.. ah crap

Exercise has been going great. I've jogged 2-3 miles every other day for a week and a half, and walked at least 30 minutes the off days. I start each day great on the food front, with a healthy breakfast and lunch, healthy snacks and plans for a healthy dinner. Unfortunately those plans get derailed by either eating out, or giving in to late night snacking (ok, gorging
). On the one hand I am happy that I am active again and, knock on wood, so far my foot problems have stayed away after many 11-12 min/mile jogs. But I've GOT to get a handle on my eating. As usual I did great for about three months, then things went to crap again. 15 of the 45lbs I re-lost are back.
Today followed the typical pattern of late. I was on-plan for breakfast with healthy cereal with raisins. Lunch was packed for a trip to the Zoo (which turned into a trip to the Science Center when the forecasters got it ALL wrong). Roast chicken dinner went in the oven, and then I went to get groceries.. and pigged out while I was out. It's like I can't pass any of my favorite restaurants without stopping these days! Chicken went in the fridge for tomorrow. I did make myself get on the treadmill and do a 35 minute brisk walk.
Oh well, the struggle goes on. Not giving up!
