I'm Leaving You for a While

Dear Spark friends - and there are so many of you,
Tomorrow I will be having surgery for major lower back reconstruction. They have schedule 4 hours for the surgery, so it's rather complicated. I wouldn't do it but I will not have great lower body motor skills and a great quality of life unless I get this fixed and halt its progression. I'll be in the hospital for a few days and recovering very slowly for a couple of weeks. I may not be able to use the computer for a couple of weeks, so you won't be hearing from me.
While I am gone, remember to treat yourself as I would treat you. Treasure yourself, love yourself and if you need it, give yourself a big kick in the behind. Remember how much I value you and care about you, so take the time to see yourself through my eyes - as an amazing person, willing to do the hard work to change your life and improve your health. Invest in yourself, track your food and exercise a couple more minutes for those of us who can't - temporarily or permanently.
I will expect a report from you when I get back and I want you to be very, very proud of yourself when you tell me what you have accomplished. I want grins that split your face. Even if your steps are baby steps, they move your forward and give you that sense of accomplishment that we all need so very much.
I'll be back- I have a goal of 199 by 12/12/12 and as God is my witness, I will make that goal no matter what sacrifices I have to make. I can and will do it and you will too.
So, get out there and Spark, Spark, SPARK!
