Martha's surgery went well but was more complicated than they had anticipated. It took 7 hours. They took out 2 discs and a lot of crumbled bone chips and bone spurs. She had to have 4 long titanium rods, 2 short ones and a bunch of screws. She's doing well, in good spirits, and we'll have to tie her down or she'll be trying to run the Nashville Marathon in two weeks. She wanted you all to know.
