Today was a struggle

...just not in the way you might imagine. I couldn't sleep last night, ended up with just over two hours of sleep, then had to get up and go to work. Since I couldn't sleep, I decided to exercise before work this morning. Work was pleasant, felt like I managed to get a lot done, and was not as tired as I thought I would be.

This was my first day of the Naturally Slim program and I really focused on only eating when I was hungry while not allowing myself to get too hungry. As a result of that, I struggled to get over 1000 calories for the day (and still may not make it if I go to bed before I get hungry again). I realize every day won't be like this as I begin to focus more on my hunger levels, but today was okay.

I explored the Naturally Slim website (just between you and me, they've got nothing on SparkPeople...shh...), but did not start the first class since they suggest you do that first class in one sitting and it's about an hour and 15 minutes. Since I go in to work early tomorrow, I'll do it tomorrow afternoon.

Oh yeah...and three days in a row of exercise...it's a start!

    Congrats on only eating when hungry and eating slow! Quit counting your calories, it will only drive you nuts. I'm on SP to track my weight and measurements. I like watch the graph line drop every week. :)

    Trust the NS principles, they work!!! I'm proof it works! Today I have lost 30 lbs in just 13 weeks! Have you been exercising regularly prior to starting NS? As in a regular routine for awhile? If it's been part of your normal routine, then keep it up. If not, then they suggest you not exercise for the 1st week in order to get your body used to eating only when hungry. My counselor encouraged me to start exercising on week 2, but I didn't start until week 3.

    Also, be sure you measure and weigh at the same time every week. You will be glad you did later. Plus, take a weekly picture, watching your body change is amazing!

    Good job on the exercise! I bet you will sleep soundly tonight.

    My issue is leg cramps from acid in my food that creaps into my lower legs and feet that awaken me.
