Heal Thyself page 3

Today I am having a sore all over body kind of day, but am trying everything I have learned so far to manage this pain naturally.

After an hour of easy yoga stretching, my muscles ache less, but the fatigue lingers.

I’ve made up a turmeric concoction that doesn’t taste awful. I mixed it with cinnamon, ginger and stevia and cooked it with water to make a paste and I take a couple tsp’s of that a day followed by a glass of water and a dose of white willow bark.

I’ve been trying out cayenne pepper and can down that know with a bit of juice and apple cider vinegar. I really do think it is helping to heat my body and aid circulation.

I know there isn’t a cure for fibromyalgia and degenerative osteoarthritis, so I will continue to pursue this lifestyle rather than take a lot of prescription medications. I did have to resume my Lyrica at the 75mg dose, which is still low as I was having way too much muscle pain without it. I would like to try and cut it down or out one day though.

I sure appreciate everyone else’s idea’s for herbal remedies that help them.

Feel free to share and I’ll continue to blog about my ongoing venture into holistic health.

I am so glad you are trying alternative and still being open minded enough to use prescription as needed without over doing.
This may sound strange but a TCM doctor told me to only drink warm to hot water. I was to stay away from cool or iced drinks. It seems to help me some. I will take every little bit that adds up. This same TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) doctor was mixing up herbal teas, but I don't have specifics ingredient lists. My point is that seeking all possibilities is a worth while plan in my opinion. Keep seeking and sharing. I have found I feel better with current food choices.

...am trying a product from my apothecary for inflammation called Curapro. It's cousin curaphen didn't work as well for me. I use it in combo with decaf green tea capsules.
Curapro is not a Rx. It has cur cumin, turmeric and phospholipids. It's non GMO and wheat free ( important to me ). It's made by EuroMedica and my physician recommended it, so am into the first few weeks of taking it, but as with everything, I'm usually on for 3 weeks and then off for one week, so I don't build a resistance.
    I hope this helps.
For what it's worth, I start acupuncture again tomorrow. I've been away from it for a few years, and I think it's time to return.
