Day 64

So here's the thing: I haven't been tracking my exercise on Spark People recently, because I've either been too busy or too tired, but I HAVE been exercising. I haven't cheated on my nutrition rules/goals, either. I thought I was doing good.

Then I weighed myself tonight. I've gained 2 lbs. GAINED!!! :*(

I try to tell myself it might possibly be muscle weight since I feel SO much stronger, and I've noticed I'm starting to look better in my clothes, but... really? 2 pounds in muscle weight? I'm not sure I believe it.

So frustrating! Wish I hadn't bothered checking. :(

On the other hand, however, I have lost 3/4 of an inch in my waist and gained 1/4 of an inch in my hips! That may not sound like much, but it's a great start in my book and it means my hip to waist ratio has improved. I am now at 0.96, down from 0.98 before. That is something to CELEBRATE!!! Woohoo! :)

And that's what I'm going to try to hang on to for now. I am getting stronger. The rest will come.

    As I've learned this past week....hormones can mess with WEIGHT loss. Could be just water weight like it was for me. Discouraging, but we manage to get thru, right? Measurements are probably a better indicator of your true progress anyways. Celebrate the little things & everything will be OK. emoticon
