A blog of extremes

Friday, May 31, 2013

So it's been over a month since I last wrote anything. Since then I've really worked on my fitness and I'm very proud of myself! I started the Couch to 5K programme and I'm now on week 4. It's been hard some days, and unexpectedly easy other days. I can't believe I was able to run five whole minutes without stopping this week! That was huge for me, I was so impressed with myself :)

On the other hand, my eating habits have become worse. I've gotten a lot of takeaways in the past month, but I've also eaten a lot of fruit...

I actually don't know how to approach my eating at all. Dieting doesn't work, counting calories doesn't work... All I know is when I'm not concentrating on losing weight I lose weight. I do enjoy healthy food, but I also enjoy unhealthy food. I suppose it's just about working on finding the balance.

I keep having to remind myself that although my weightloss has been slow (and sometimes reversed) I have lost over 20 pounds in the last few years and I'm now the fittest I've ever been, hovering around the lightest I've ever been as well. So there's really no reason for me to despair.

A few bad days/weeks/months haven't stopped me so far and I don't plan on them ever stopping me getting to my goal, no matter how long that will take.

I want to feel good about my body, that's my only goal. :)

Use the plate method. That is the simplest way to go about it. Look it up on Sparkpeople Search. Great job with you exercises. Losing slowly is better. emoticon emoticon emoticon
