BLC22 - SMART Goals

Sunday, June 09, 2013

Specific: Eat 3 low-fat, low-sugar, low-carb meals a day and use the Spark Tracker this challenge. Drink 8 glasses of water each day.

Measurable: Start each day with 30 minutes of Passage Meditation. It's my "daily me time" and enables me to maintain my serenity under all circumstances.

Attainable: Set realistic goals that are attainable for me so I don't sabotage myself by trying to do too much too soon.

Relevant: Stay in the day and keep my goals relevant to my day. No regrets and no projection.

Time-Bound: Keep track of time so my day doesn't "get away from me" by spending too much time doing one thing and then playing "catch up" . I do not like to feel rushed.

BLC22 for me is about BALANCE - getting it, keeping it and maintaining it!

I really like this! I can relate to everything you wrote about! I've found the morning "me" time to be very helpful, too. Just as an experiment I've been heading in to sit in the comfy chair in the plant room and write in my journal while drinking my coffee -- BEFORE turning the computer on. So helpful!

Love your incorporated "me time" which is invaluable! I spend time talking to God mostly when traveling as I am alone and it is a "quiet" time for me...

    Great goals overall!

I can certainly identify with "Time-Bound". I also find time passes like lightning - and I also hate to feel rushed!

Lizzie, I'm right there with you on trying to find a balance...getting it, keeping it, and maintaining it, as you so aptly phrased it. We have similar goals!
