Getting Back in the Groove

Since I posted my Labor Day resolution, I have lost 6 pounds. :) I know, it's only the first week back on track after a long lapse - I certainly won't continue at this rate. I understand that and I'm OK with that. This isn't my first time around the block, after all.
But more important than what I have lost is what I have gained - a feeling of quiet confidence that I CAN do this and I WILL do this.
What I've been doing this last week feels RIGHT, and REASONABLE, and REALISTIC.
And it seems to be working.
So I'm just going to keep doing it and see how far it takes me.
I have a lot of weight to lose, but this time I'm not in a race to get to a certain size or look a certain way.
I just know that the changes I'm making right now are good for me, and if I continue this way I will feel better, have more energy, and improve my overall quality of life.
So I'm just going to keep doing it, make more positive changes when it feels right to do so, and see how I feel.
I think I'm getting back into the groove - or maybe I've created a new groove. :)
