Today, I made an odd discovery. I went from 168.6 pounds to 167.8 pounds. I've actually lost weight - lol. I'm not even trying to actively lose weight anymore - just trying to be healthy.

Tomorrow I have my blood drawn again to monitor how quickly my hormone levels are going up due to the pregnancy. I wonder how early they will be able to tell me if the hormone levels are "normal" for this age of the pregnancy.

I also need to ask my doctors (or the nurses) if I can continue to do my 3X Challenge (or if I need to modify it at all). I know I've read you can continue your workout routine if you are used to it, but I just want to be extra careful. Plus it is pretty strenuous for me, so I'm not sure if that makes a difference. I've read that you should keep your heart rate below 140 beats per minute when working out, which if that is the case, I don't have to work too hard to get my heart rate there. Perhaps it is all about listening to your body to know what is right for you. I have read that you should aim to at least walk for 30 minutes 5 days a week, so I've been at least aiming for a brisk treadmill walk (30 minutes 6 days a week). I'm waiting to hear what other things are safe for me to do.

I randomly decided to try on maternity jeans today. Man - they are UGLY. Any suggestions out there for cute maternity brands?

    I definitely would do the walking. It always makes you feel better and even more so if you can do some outside to get some fresh air!

    Again, the jumping jacks may not be a great idea especially after a certain point. How far along are you? Dancing around a room should be ok for 10 minutes a couple times a week. I know moms who used to club and dance on the box swaying their prego belly around trying to bring labor on early! LOL! Crunches and planks are not a good idea after pregnancy because of the possibility of diastasis recti. You should inquire about keeping your muscles strong there during pregnancy or how to strengthen them afterwards without increasing the spacing. Look it up if you're not sure about it...

    Mat jeans are NEVER a pretty thing... LOL! I got nice shirts that covered the elastic tops and that seemed to do the trick just nicely enough. Plus, my bestie and I handed the clothes back and forth so that we didn't spend a bunch. She had em first, then me and then her again. Really helps.
