Yesterday I sucked it up and got a flu shot

. I avoid "voluntary" shots like the plague, but it is for the baby - not me. My doctors recommended it, so it was a non-option for me. Apparently creating a baby wears your immune system down immensely, so you are especially prone to getting sick.
After my shot I went to try on random maternity jeans at stores - just to start to get a feel for which places I like the styles. I purchased a pair of blue jeans with a full panel and black skinny jeans with a full panel. Thankfully, neither of them "look" like maternity jeans. I put them on and asked my husband what he thought, he liked them (he didn't know they were maternity jeans until I showed him). He's a brutally honest guy, so he would have told me if they looked funky. I'm not sure how big I will get throughout the winter, but I am hoping to avoid buying a maternity coat.
Last night I hung out with my husband and his three friends. We went out to eat and went bowling afterwards

. I drove, so it gave me the perfect excuse to not drink. I didn't bowl - just watched...and laughed. We didn't get home until late, and I ended up in bed at 1:30am.
This morning I was so tired when I woke at 9:30am that I felt hungover (even though - obviously I didn't drink). I had a terrible headache and mild nausea. I went back to bed while my husband ran errands with his mom. I didn't wake again until 12:30. I had a headache and was slightly queasy the rest of the day. My husband made a fire in the hearth for me, I read my book, cuddled in a cozy blanket, and finally took a nap at 4:00-5:30pm. The nap helped - unfortunately though I just didn't feel up to exercising today. I'll count today as my "day of rest" and do my exercising tomorrow. I am crossing my fingers that nausea starting already doesn't mean I'm in for the same heavy nausea I experienced last time.
Update: Here is a photo of our fireplace while it is going - obviously this is from Christmastime last year :-)
