BLC23 Pink Vikings Tool Box Challenge

This weekend us Pink Vikings had a writing assignment on our weekend challenge. So I figured what better place to do this than on my blog! This is what I needed to do:
~Write a sentence or tell a friend about the choices you made today
~Talk to someone about your diet plan, using the word choice several times to describe your actions.
~If you made a poor choice, figure out how to describe it without using negative words such as cheat.
~Give yourself a new label for example like Fit and Fabulous Betty
~Completed the exercises without using words like good, bad, cheating or anything negative.
It's still pretty early on in the day but my choices today have been on the upside! When I chose to start getting healthier, I told myself that I won't limit myself to what I eat as long as I stayed within serving sizes. So I started tracking everything I eat.

This choice actually works well for me because I get cravings like nothing I've ever seen and they tend to overwhelm me at times! I am also choosing to watch my salt intake (which thanks to the Pink Vikings and another challenge I believe I have drastically cut back on!). Salt used to be my seasoning of choice but now I will choose another spice or flavor to cook with instead. It IS and WILL BE a long hard road with hills and dips and curves and roadblocks BUT I am choosing ME and MY health so I will stick with it!
This weekend I actually made a choice when choosing what to eat for dinner that was one of my vices...buffalo wings! I couldn't help myself and I am a strong believer in NOT cutting foods completely out of your plan. So I had some!

And actually it all worked out because I track all my food and I was still within my calorie range! Now the heartburn afterwards....well that's another story!
Hmmmm...a new name/label for me?!? How about "Toned and Tenacious Kim"?? WHEW - I think that was the hardest part of all this!
