5% Winter Challenge Exercise Plan

Saturday, January 11, 2014

Yes its that time again.
5% Winter Challenge Exercise Plan
Cardio 1 hr 5 days week
Walk Away The Pounds
Strength training 3 days week:
Wii EA Active/Wii Fit 2 days Week
Yoga 2 days Week
I'm still going to need my walker when I'm working but I aiming to add more variety in my cardio workouts such as Nichole's cardio DVD that I received with The Spark Solution last summer. Sparkpeople has a lot of videos I can stream through my tv via Youtube. The possibilities of mixing it up are endless thanks to technology. I don't know how successful I will be at many of these due to my slightly limited mobility, but I have to try . I exceeded my expectations in the Fall Challenge by started out at WALP 2 mile. Eight weeks later I started walking 4 miles. I've had a bit of a set back with bronchitis so I may have to start back at the 3 mile mark for a week or so, but I know it won't be for long. My goal is to to complete the WALP 5 Mega Miles by the end of the Winter Challenge, which I have already purchased. I thinking the Fitbit is going to be bringing out the competitive animal in me also in conjunction with my Polar FT7 Heart rate monitor that I have already been using.

I received a Fitbit for Christmas. Love it. Yes, you keep on going until you reach those 10,000 steps. One day, I had that many by 1:00 PM and had over 15,000 by evening. Only happened once, though. It does wake up your competitive spirit for sure. You have done so well with your walking. Keep it up. You are quite an inspiration to the rest of us.
