Day 5 Low Carb

I had a bad weekend for staying on the plan... but really, I had planned to start the plan later... so I am not too concerned.

On Friday night we had a big night out - a big social event in our neighborhood. I drank beer and had the very delicious dessert, but I also danced and clocked up over 18,000 steps.

However, on the scales, not so good. By the morning of day 3, I was down 3lbs! That's 1.5lbs a day! Amazing. I've gained some of it back but I'm back on track today.

I am now reading about the Atkins plan, the New Atkins which is making a lot of sense. I love the testimonials throughout the chapters... I hope that my story will be similar!

Today for lunch I had:

40g spring mix.
1/2 cup of sugar snap peas
6 baby carrots
1/2 cup cooked chicken.
1 tbsp. crumbled feta.
2 tbsp. no carb Caesar salad dressing.

I am so full!

I'm enjoying the plan and am not feeling deprived. Hopefully I can continue to feel this way.

I had a massage yesterday and my back is pretty sore. My arthritis has been bothering me and making my muscles hard in my hips. I have started to take the arthritis medicine again... I stopped taking it when it got warmer but I guess I should keep taking it for a while longer.

I have a rib steak for dinner tonight and I'm quite excited about it!

    You are doing great! The weekend is always harder, especially when there is a party. Hang in there, it will get easier!
