become a new me

Sunday, June 08, 2014

Well its been seven month since I had bariatric surgery. Moved from Pennsylvania, where it was just me and my SW to a m daughter's home in Virginia, where we live with a family of 9 and there are usually more kids visiting pushing us to at least a dozen. With all those people around I don't need to play so close attention to SW, who fading into a new world of dementia. I do however get call upon to babysit quite often,

My world and my life had changed quite a bit. More and more I do miss SW, often even more when I am with her. But I really enjoy the others I live with. We have a bit of an apartment which allows me and SW some time and space alone,

Down 120 pounds I feel great. And I feel much more fitter than I have in quite some. The local Senior Center has given an opportunity to meet some new folks and to take some new courses as well. I am even leading one on story telling, Still there is even more on my ti do list than there has been for a while. For me it is coming hard to tell where one part of my adventure starts and the other ends, Still I know I am doing, Life is defiantly improving and becoming more an adventure.

Sad that one part of your life is fading but you are taking care of yourself and finding new ways to be involved. You are to be commended!
