custody battle

Friday, September 19, 2014

My son has been fighting a custody battle for over a year now. He has temporary custody of his daughter. On Tuesday of this week the second round of trial began since the opposing side could not finish their portion six months ago. Lo and behold, they did not finish again, so we have to go back next week to hopefully finish up. The mother of the child is a meth addict that frankly needs our prayers, but she has no business having a child with her full time. My stress level is skyrocketing over all this and I have been offline for awhile now to deal with all of this. His attorney said that if they gave the mother custody she would literally fall over with her mouth hanging open. I do believe he will win this battle, but I hope it ends soon.

Went through similar situation with my step-daughter. My husband was given temporary custody when she was 5 and we had her exclusively with her mother only having supervised visits until she was 11 and then limited visitation started. That didn't last long though and we went back to supervised visits. She is turning 18 at the end of this month and will hardly even speak to her mother. She really turned out well considering all that her mother put her through and I am very proud of her. The road was rocky but the Lord always saw us through every difficulty.

God bless. This has to effect all you do in your life and your program since naturally you are concerned about the baby and your son. Hope all works out the way it should and the baby will be with your son.
