You Don't Have To Agree With Every Thought.....

You don't have to agree with every thought that comes into your mind. The mind is very powerful. What we think about ourselves and the world around us has everything to do with where we are and where we're going.
All kinds of thoughts go through my mind all day every day. I used to automatically dismiss certain ones just because I would think "where did that come from?"And I knew it was negative or weird or whatever. I think all of us go through that but some don't admit it. Lol. But there are other, sneakier thoughts that may not seem so obvious at first because it is a pattern of thought. It is something we have developed over time so it seems 'normal'.
I was in a negative pattern for years and only in the last few months have I REALLY seen how negative it was. I knew years ago some of the things I thought about myself were not healthy, they weren't loving, etc. But I REALLY have gotten it these last few months. So now if a thought comes in my mind like 'your life will always be the same, it's good that so and so is living a great life but that's them', etc. I don't accept it. I don't have to. None of us have to accept those thoughts. It's an option and a lot of people don't realize that. They just accept them as their own and then that becomes their life. Who is 'so and so' anyway? They're just another person like you or me. Any of us can do whatever we want if we set our minds to it.
This weight loss thing is a perfect example. I've read countless success stories, been inspired, motivated, etc. but deep down didn't think I could do it long term. I would always sabotage myself. That's clear in that I lost 48 lbs in 2013 and gained it all back. I would look at others as if something was different about them. There's absolutely nothing different about them but their mindsets. That's it! They're every day people just like you and me. It's also about feeling worthy. You have to know you're worthy and not be afraid of your greatness. That's another blog though. Lol.
You don't have to accept every thought that comes into your mind. Think positively! Say to yourself 'I can do this', 'I am a weight loss machine!', 'I deserve to be happy and be in good health', etc. Think those thoughts, agree with thoughts like that, not the negative ones. It's your choice! :)
