Weekend Recap
Monday, September 14, 2015
The last 4 days were a whirlwind! I flew out of Baltimore on Thursday afternoon headed for Denver, drove to Colorado Springs to visit my brother and sister-in-law, was treated royally there, then ran a 5K race on Saturday morning overlooking the majestic Rocky Mountains, and attended my 40th high school class reunion Saturday night.
It bears repeating: It was a magical night! Reconnecting with friends, many who I have not seen 40 years, connecting with classmates who I did not know well or at all, and just having the time of my life. My only disappointment: It came and went too quick! Nearly 6 hours and I still wasn't ready to call it a night, but the length the day, the 5K race, and the glasses of wine told me it was time to go to bed!
Having attended my first class reunion, now I am hoping there is one at 45! Maybe it does not need to be as formal -- but just to get together and talk! I'm all for that!
I could go on and on, but suffice it to say that this weekend surpassed all of my expectations!
