Such a Wonderful Saturday!

Okay. I admit it. I did not eat very healthy today. I had to get up SUPER early, to help my boyfriend with something, and this cold has been kicking my butt. By about 8:00 AM, I thought I wasn't going to make it. I was so tired, and hangery, I just went ahead and ate a McMuffin. I don't really regret it, though. After helping Bryan out, we came home, and I took a little nap. The food, and rest must have done something for me, because 2 hours later, I woke up feeling much better. My body just needed some comfort and rest. After that, I was on the move. We picked up my car from the shop, with shiny new Spark plugs, picked up my prescriptions from the doctor, I left Bryan at home, and took Vito with me grocery shopping. After that, Bryan and I went shopping for the twin's upcoming birthday party, and some cleaning supplies. We came home, and the 3 of us cleaned like some mad people while the little ones played in their room. It was so nice having the big boys help me out. It doesn't happen that often, but when it does, it is glorious. We were organizing the food pantry, moving furniture, cleaning out the freezer, all that really deep cleaning stuff I somehow run out of time for during the week, when I clean by myself. So yeah, I didn't eat very well today, and I didn't do my exercises, but I am certain I burned a few calories, and I feel good for having accomplished a lot. I still count this day as a win. I am happy. My family worked together as a team, and got along, working toward a common goal. Everyone is safe, and happy. I don't know. I guess in my mind, it's okay to count the small things. There are days, I feel good if I get everyone to school on time, picked up on time, fed, and bathed. I can remember a time when even those small things were overwhelming. (Like when I didn't have a car to need new Spark plugs.) I feel very lucky sometimes, and today is one of those times. I am so lucky to have a wonderful boyfriend, and 3 crazy, but amazing children. I am lucky to have 3 of the cutest cats to ever walk the face of the earth. (Even though they make me feel guilty every time the vacuum comes out.) I am lucky even for our cute little corn snake, Nightmare, who has spent the entire day lounging in his hammock, flicking his tongue whenever I come near. Sometimes living healthy is about more than what you eat. It's about family, and happiness. Today, I was so happy spending the day with my family.
