Physically
Still battling nausea off and on when eating solids.

I am still on metformin. I still test my blood sugar every morning and am still testing at or near normal readings.

I am still losing weight, though more slowly than before. Those plateaus can mess with my self-confidence, but only if I let it.

Energy and stamina are still pretty good, aerobic endurance is still increasing. Still working on getting more sleep.

But my right hip is a royal pain. The good news is that I found out today from x-rays at the ortho that I don't have either arthritis or bursitis in that hip. It's being treated as a muscle/tendon strain due to overuse. I'll be getting a 'script for a topical pain reliever, a couple of weeks of physical therapy, and have been told to REST.

Emotionally
AAARRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!
I am worried that this injury will derail my exercise plans, as my knee surgery did 12 years ago.

Training
Swimming
The hip pain screws with my kick in the swimming the most. So I am currently not swimming.

Biking
I love cycling! Finished the Sufferlandia spin class but have been told to rest. The weather, of course, is drop dead gorgeous.

Wogging
I have been wogging on an outdoor track 2-3 times a week. I've finished 2 5Ks and am signed up for a 3rd one in May. I actually have made a full lap jogging around the track, for 3 out of 8 laps! Go me!

Goals
FINISHED: Heart Mini Marathon 5K, Sunday, March 13.
FINISHED: Tri-County Trail 5K, Sat, April 16.
Signed up for: Purple Passion Race in support of pancreatic cancer research, Sunday, May 15.
I am now a card-carrying member of the USA Triathlon.
Signed up for: Tri-Goddess-Tri on Sunday, June 26.
Signed up for: Ceasar's Ck Mini Triathlon, July 10.

If not now, when?

Better to rest for now, and allow your body to heal. You will have a lifetime of healthy, active life afterwards. If you don't let your body heal now, you will be dealing with it for a really long time and it will keep you from your goals. emoticon
