It's important to do weight training but this little tidbit of information is a little disheartening. One pound of muscle burns 7-10 calories per day, a pound of fat burns 2-3. If you strength train for 4 months you put on 3-5 pounds of muscle. So the additional calories you burn from that is 15-30 calories a DAY. So even buff people need to watch their calories!!
