Beginning to take SP seriously

My doctor recently challenged me to lose some weight , mostly to get my blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol down. So I've begun to take SP more seriously and am making an effort to connect more with the SP community.

Over the past few weeks I've lost maybe 7 or 8 pounds. (I'm not really sure what I weighed when I started.) but the big deal for me is blood sugar and cholesterol which I will have tested near the end of the month.

Because this is gardening season, I am actually getting lots of exercise ... except for when it rains as it has been almost continuously here on the eastern shore of Maryland these past days. Hopefully, after church today, I'll be able to do some planting and weeding if the gardens aren't too muddy. Lots to do here and it is work (and exercise) I love to do.
