Update 10 (June 28, 2016)

Update 10 (June 28, 2016): Started writing this on my update section of my page and continuing here... Wow! time flies! Hard to believe it has been a year since I have updated my page!!! What a busy year it has been! Holding steady on the weight loss... still down about 40 of the 50 that I had shed from May 2014- Jan 2015. Exercising religiously with a very supportive group of friends at Anytime Fitness in Thurmont, MD has been keeping me on track. A few days after last year's update I was sporting a foot brace for a broken bone in my foot... this almost set me off track but my personal trainer and Zumba coach said I had 3 other good limbs so why not come in and work out but just take it easy with the broken foot? emoticon Best words of wisdom she could have given me ;)
Since last year's update, I have dedicated myself to my personal fitness journey. I am stronger and healthier than I have ever been. The weight is not moving like I want it to, but I am truly working out harder and more regularly than I have ever done in my life of almost 50 years!!! My workouts are: Zumba for 60 mins on Mon, Wed, Thur and Sat; HIIT for 60 mins on Tues; Core training for 30 mins on Tues; Personal training using weights on Thurs for 30 mins. Friday and Sunday I usually rest.
My personal trainer is so motivating and has created a true love for fitness for myself and the group I work out with. We truly have a family fitness environment. I actually look forward to my workouts… they are incredibly challenging and I feel so accomplished when I am finished.
Along with this increased workload of working out, I have continued working my full time job and am a devoted wife and mom to 3 beautiful daughters. I know that when I leave for work in the mornings on Mon-Thurs, I won’t be home until approx. 8pm. This has been one of the hardest parts of my commitment to grasp because when I get home, I still have to eat dinner, clean up and review or help with homework during the school year and get ready for the next work day. My middle daughter, 22, has been with me on this journey since last year as well, so with her support, we are making it work. The hubby fusses from time to time but has come to accept this as my new normal. My other 2 daughters are also very supportive and want me to keep this up. This has been truly a lifestyle change for me but one that has helped me in so many ways. I am more focused and more self-confident than I have ever been.
I have spent the past year getting my exercise habits in place and to make this my new normal, my next goal is to get my nutrition goals set and focused and to make that another new normal for me. I try to use the SP tracker for food tracking but I get lazy doing this… maybe I need to find some support on here to help me stay focused and committed…

    Thanks for the update. It sounds like you are doing great. Very focused and confident. You know what you want and need. I think you are more than ready to tackle the nutrition part of it now.
