Scale is evil

Thursday, September 15, 2016

I have been ignoring the scale... for a long time now... but I have been working out 4-5 times a week doing zumba, body weight exercises and personal training with weights.
However... I have been a bit to slack on the nutrition tracking... sooo, I took control back this week.
The scale tipped me over the edge... my weight has gone up about 10lbs. I was so irritated by this that I decided enough is enough. I need to start really paying attention to what I am putting in my body.
I have been doing much better this week... one of the biggest changes I had to make was cutting out the cereal... I could eat this one particular cereal for breakfast and then again for dinner... and I was doing this much too often. I haven't had any this week and I am noticing that my legs are not as swollen and my bladder has been working overtime!
I decided just for further aggravation to step on the scale this morning and much to my surprise I am actually down about 3-4lbs!!! I know this is water weight... but hey, it is weight that I am not carrying around at the moment...
Sooo maybe I am on to something here... now to just stay away from that cereal!!!

Oh I totally get it. I do not have a food addiction but when it came to cereal, GRANOLA, that was my problem. I ate bowls of this stuff and actually gained 30 lbs due to stuffing this type of cereal down my throat every chance I felt the urge which was almost every day. So when I jumped on the band wagon, I tossed all the granola out of my home, beginning February 1, 2015 and haven't had a morsel since. I lost 50 lbs quickly and have been on maintenance ever since. I love my new weight, and sure, I could eat a huge bowl full of granola right now! But I won't and probably will stay away from that stuff as much as I possibly can. It is not healthy, full of sugar and everyone should realize that it is a "marketing gimic" suggesting granola is healthy for you. It isn't, not one bit. best, fredie

I realize that I have a cereal problem. I don't crave it for breakfast, however it calls my name around 10 pm... emoticon

I'm not a fan of cereal and don't eat it. You are wise to give it up.
