9/20/16--September Update

Tuesday, September 20, 2016

I have my new glasses and still get headaches and wooziness, which limits my computer time and irritates the snot out of me. I maintained my weight loss for about 6 months, then started gaining slowly, and now faster. I'm still 30+ pounds down, but with the gain, I'm almost back to an obese BMI. Only 10 pounds regained, but I don't want to gain any more. I'm pretty sure eating too many sweets instead of a balanced diet is making me hungry all the time. I think getting back to a balanced diet will work well, but I have to track for that to happen. I also have to change some things I ate when I lost before bc now my jaw is weak, and I can't chew some things--at least not every day. Since my eyes and head are goofy, tracking is not a pleasant exercise; however, it's time to suck it up and do it anyway. Since my jaw and stomach are goofy, finding good things to eat is not easy, but it's time to suck it up and do it anyway. Now, on a totally different note: I hate politics in kids' sports. I hate that parents with certain characteristics think it's okay to pressure coaches to benefit their own children. Even in a dinky little 5th grade football team where 7 out of 16 have NEVER played before, we've got parents telling the coach what plays to practice bc "they've lost 2 games" when they have no clue why other plays were being used. My husband doesn't even want to help coach anymore. These parents usually don't even ATTEND the practice! Aaauuugh! OK, I'm done.

Coaching is tough. I think parents put too much emphasis on it. That being said, all my grandkids are in sports, and Mom an Dad actively participate being coaches and scorekeepers. I know your frustrations!

Sorry you are having the vision and other issues. If you can't use the computer to log, maybe a notebook or white board. In the meantime I hope you are consulting your Dr. this is doesn't sound right at all.

It is ridiculous how some parents are with their kids in sports, especially at a young age. That happened with Jacob and basketball back in January. One set of parents were constantly yelling at their son to get in there and do this, do that. Hello, they were in 4th grade!

I hope that your other issues get resolved and that you can find what works for you know. You can do it!

You can get back on track one step at a time.

I hate when parent's are like that. Sometimes parent' s are worse then kids I swear!

That is exactly why neither DH or I coached any of our kids' sports. They didn't play a lot of stuff but we personally stayed out of what they did cuz it wouldn't have been pretty. DH isn't politically correct at all when it comes to telling other parents to back off, etc. Its sad that even at very young ages kids' sports teams are so affected by parents. Good luck with that!

As for the other stuff - I know you can do it! You did it before and you know what works and what doesn't.

    So go kick butt!
