Weight Loss Musing
Thursday, April 20, 2017
I've been following the Bright Line Eating plan since the first of the year and I've released 22 lbs. I havent followed the plan strictly and my loss has been slow but I continue to lose in spite of myself. Its got me thinking about all the different weight loss plans I've been on and things I learned about what to eat. Most of them have been healthy plans like WW. I tried to go back to WW but I just could not commit the points values to memory. I don't eat points, I eat food.
With BLE, you give up sugar and flour, no artificial sweeteners, weigh and measure everything and eat three meals a day. No snacking. The no snacking part is contrary to things we have learned in other plans. The premise is that if you eat all the food allotted to you, and there is plenty of it, you dont need to snack. Snacking is addictive so eat 3 meals a day, period. At dinner, you are allowed 4 oz protein, 6 oz veggies and 8 oz salad if you are a woman. That is a lot of crunching. and 4 oz protein is also a good bit. You can eat anytype of meat, chicken, pork, fish, eggs, cheese. Just weigh it. We have even had spareribs with a spice rub, 4 oz weighed without bone. Can't have the bar-b-q sauce.
This program has worked so well, my husband dropped 20 lbs in 6 weeks and has a hard time not losing any more. I have twenty more to go. There is a huge amount of online support, accountability calls and more. Just can't get enough of it. Someone always there to help and not be accusative, like "what did you eat". And you dont have to buy any supplements.
Okay, the reason I wanted to post today was to write down how I've gone off plan and still managed to lose. Maybe that's another day as my husband is calling for breakfast.
