Do You Feel Your Age?

Do you feel the age you are? Or will you always be a teenager at heart?
I am 62. I cannot say that I feel my age. There are physical changes. If I become ill, it often takes longer to recover. However, I am not ill as often as I was in earlier years. My immune system has been boosted by my daily exercise. My muscles in my legs, glutes, etc. are much stronger due to exercise. I have had injuries. Yet I have overcome them.
My mental age seems younger than my years. I feel younger than my age. This is an advantage for me. My mother would never have gone to a gym. She did gardening. She enjoyed that. However, her body showed her age at 62. She died at this age. I know that cancer can invade anyone's body, as it did hers. I remember before the cancer she would look in the mirror and say I look like an old lady and yet I feel younger. I now know exactly how it is for people as they age. It is probably worse for women.
But for me, I refuse to allow age to make me feel differently.
