I'm still around

This has been an eventful summer so far and I am happy to say that I amcontinuously losing .5 to 2.5 lbs per week. I am with the 5% challenge and it has been really a great HELP TO ME , ESPECIALLY SINCE MY MOM'S FALL AND SUBSEQUENT BROKEN ANKLE. wHILE MY SISTERS AND I ARE NOT FRIENDS, WE ARE ALL PITching in and cooperating to take our turns helping mom, who is 88.
We continue to unpack,we moved in last April, and it is becoming a lot easier to send anything we have 2 of or that doesn't fit or we don't need to the thrift shop in town. Sure has pared down on junk we both had.
DS renewed his drivers licence and we now have 3 drivers in the house This is taking the pressure off DH and BFF who are both 70 and hate running errands.
My own situation has improved since leaving the city. I walk more often around the neighbourhood and spend so much less time indoors as we have a lovely deck and lush backyard that backs onto a forest. It does add some entertainment to our days and evenings to see who might make their way from the trees in the woods into and thru our yard. 1 day it was 5 coyote pups. Ever so cute and playful to watch. Wee have lots of birds, squirrels and a couple of chipmunks, all of whom we have made friends with, thanks to the distribution of a few peanuts each morning and evening. Their antics keep us smiling and I sleep much better at night now, getting a consistent 4-5 hours hours nightly. I would still like it to be a little longer, but it is an improvement.
Thanks for your support and many comments over the last month or more. These help me overcome my solitary ways and encourage me to speak to others sometimes. Virtually I am doing better but not as wellwith face to face interaction. I am a hermit by definition and get tongue tied with others. I am continuing to try to make virtual contact, sometimes taking the first move. This is a huge step forward.
Weell the laundry is ready to be hung out, oh how I LOVE the clothesline, so I must end now with a smile and feeling quite accomplished with sharing here in my blog.
