Nervous Mama Bear!

Sunday, August 13, 2017

Got through last week, and looking ahead to next week. It is a full week of work, coach training, Dr.'s appointments, and I take my oldest to the airport Thursday to study a semester in India and volunteer at a Tibetan refugee camp.

I survived dropping her off at preschool, grade school, Jr high, high school (which has been the worst for me), dropped her off her junior and senior year of high school at Ball State, dropped her off at college (Earlham) and now she is going international! This is giving me anxiety, which is getting worse everyday.

I know keeping up with my exercise is important, even more so with anxiety and stress. I do Not need to stress eat, I need to keep everything prepped and at the ready, and keep one foot moving in front of the other. (Lots of deep breaths)

She will be back in just over four months, (Home for Christmas!!) I will make it through this!

    You can do this! emoticon

It's tough sending them off. I sent my oldest off to Nicaragua last summer at 15 years old! We do it because we love them and support their journey. But we also need to remember to support our own journey too.

Maybe when you feel anxious ... Sit down & write her a letter - kind of like a diary of home life for her to read when she gets back. Just an idea???

Good luck you can do this!

Worrying has never changed anything, but your daughter is changing the world.

Now I feel totally like a whiny butt for stressing over taking our only out of state for his first semester of college this week. Mine is easy compared to yours.
