Part one of day ones mystery adventure

The name "Buena Vista", Spanish for "Beautiful View", this was our first stop on our adventure. Here are a few pictures of the view from the pull out to enjoy the collegiate mountain range.

we entered Independence Pass which takes you to Aspen this pass is so high its closed in the winter .
Independence Pass, is a high mountain pass in the Rocky Mountains of central Colorado we drove over on our way to Aspen at the top you crossed the Continental Divide. A great pull out to enjoy the mountains and trees have your picture taken The Pass travels through 32 miles of mountainous terrain. The summit of the Pass reaches an elevation of 12,095 feet.

We were walking to the overlook a huge black cloud opened up and we joined in a ran dance with several other visitors. Lunch in the car watching the rain. 20 minutes latter the sun popped out and you would never have known it rained.
We did the short loop walk and enjoyed the sites before heading off to our next stop Aspen and the John Denver Memorial Garden.
